About NEST VMS

An Indigenous-owned, women-led company building vendor management software for organizations whose workforce does not fit into a single employment category.

Who we are

NEST VMS is a Vendor Management System built for the reality of modern work. Most organizations no longer employ a single kind of worker. They run a mix of full-time employees, contingent workers, staffing vendors, sub-vendors, independent contractors and statement-of-work project teams, and each of those groups usually arrives with its own process, its own paperwork and its own spreadsheet.

We built NEST VMS to collapse that sprawl into a single system of record. Job orders, approvals, supplier profiles, worker onboarding, digital timesheets, rate rules, SOW milestones, compliance documents and spend reporting all live in one place, which means a program owner can answer “who is working, under what terms, at what cost, and are they compliant?” without opening five other tools.

The company is Indigenous-owned and women-led. That ownership shapes how we build: with structure, intention and care, and with particular attention to the workers at the far end of a vendor chain who are usually the least visible in a workforce program and the most affected when it is run badly.

NEST VMS serves enterprises, managed service providers and program owners, and procurement and finance teams across North America, from offices in Edmonton, Alberta and Litchfield Park, Arizona.

How we build

Structure before software

Every workforce program has rules that already exist in spreadsheets, email threads and people’s heads. NEST VMS starts by making those rules explicit, then enforces them consistently.

Safety is not a module

Compliance documents, certifications, agreements and expiry dates are tracked as first-class records, so nobody works on site with a lapsed credential.

One record per worker

Employees, contingent workers, staffing vendors, sub-vendors and SOW project teams live in the same system of record instead of four disconnected ones.

Clarity for every side

Program owners, suppliers, hiring managers and finance each see the same numbers, which removes most of the reconciliation work a workforce program normally creates.
